Admitted Students
Congratulations on being admitted to the College & Career Lab! This summer starts (or continues) your journey with CCL until the summer after high school graduation. Even if you are returning to CCL, review this page to ensure you are ready to join us in July!
Steps to Complete
A few days after you applied to CCL, you received an email from university.programs@nyu.edu with the subject Your NYU ID Numbers and Status Page with your assigned NetID (e.g. abc123). Find that email (it might be in your spam folder) and follow these instructions to activate your NetID:
Your NetID (e.g. abc123) is your username/login for all things NYU. Write down your NetID and password for easy access to all of NYU’s platforms going forward.
Returning students will have already completed this step. If you cannot remember your password, see the FAQ on this page for help resetting it.
Follow these steps to accept or decline the admissions offer:
To access the NYU WiFi network, NYU email, NYU Google Workspace apps, and other NYU resources, you must set up multi-factor authentication. MFA is a second layer of security that helps keep your sensitive information secure.
Submit the required program forms
These forms must be submitted by parents or guardians for all students under the age of 18. First, log in via NYU Home using your NetID and password, then use the links below to open the forms:
Download and complete the form below
Once completed, please submit the form online to the NYU Student Health Center by following these steps:
Complete the CCL entry survey
The CCL entry survey will tell us your T-shirt size, your dietary restrictions, your interests, and the college or career knowledge you are bringing to the program. It is not a test, but a way for us to get to know you better and tailor the program to your needs!
Students are allowed to bring up to two family members or guardians to orientation, but they must be registered with NYU at least three weeks in advance. Guest information must be entered on the CCL entry survey, or they will be denied entry to NYU—no exceptions.
Submit a photo for your ID
All students must have an NYU ID card, which grants access to NYU buildings and services.
To submit a photo, visit the NYU photo upload portal, click the LOGIN button, and enter your NetID and password. Photos must have a white background and be at least 480 pixels wide by 600 pixels high.
CCL will pick up your ID and give it to you at orientation.
Read the NYU Summer Programs Handbook
The Summer Programs Handbook establishes guidelines for all students participating in summer programs at NYU; CCL students are expected to follow these rules. The CCL program syllabus has additional information and will be sent before orientation.
Important communications will be available only through NYU’s secure platform. Access your email account by visiting NYUHome and clicking the NYU Email card, or by navigating directly to email.nyu.edu. (Log in with your NetID and password.)
We look forward to seeing you at orientation! Until then, check your NYU email regularly for more information.
We are thrilled to welcome you to the College & Career Lab! Please email us with any questions or concerns.
FAQ for
Admitted Students
Go to the NYU Start page to look up your NetID or reset your password.
If the email address you originally used to create your NYU account is no longer accessible, please email us. We will provide you with your NetID, N#, and the email address you signed up with. You may then relay that information via email to NYU IT and ask them to reset your email address to a current, active address.
At CCL Orientation!
Exploratory Stage students will meet at orientation at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, July 1 at NYU Washington Square. Immersive Stage students will have an online orientation at a date to be determined. Orientation is mandatory for all participating students.
Exploratory Stage parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend with their students (up to two family members per student). Guests must be registered in the CCL entry survey at least three weeks in advance. If approval is not granted via email, guests will not be allowed to enter NYU buildings.
We will review policies, program schedules, and additional details related to the program. Students will meet with their advisors and peers to get to know one another before the first day of the program.
Students should come prepared to actively participate in all CCL sessions. You are a “college student” while you are at CCL—being on time, being attentive, and asking questions and sharing opinions are expected.
At orientation, you will be provided with:
It is your responsibility to bring all of these items to CCL every day.
Consider also bringing a light sweater or jacket, as classrooms may be cold throughout the summer.
Students should not bring personal laptops, tablets, AirPods, game consoles, or other devices to campus. Program staff are not responsible for any items that may be lost or stolen.
Students are encouraged to take notes the same way college students do—with pen and paper.
Students will receive a daily schedule and syllabus outlining expectations, times, and locations of all classes, field trips, and program sessions at the time of admission into CCL.
You can expect to spend 6.5 hours a day at NYU’s Washington Square campus with advisors leading you through the daily plans. Breakfast and lunch are provided each day, as well as guided breaks to enhance the learning environment.
University faculty, staff, and CCL advisors will lead students through a mixture of lectures, activities, discussions and exercises to build skills and knowledge around college and career interests.
The CCL staff are your point of contact for any questions, troubleshooting, or advising; they can always be reached via email.
We operate in-person; however, when you accept your admissions offer and enroll in CCL, you will gain access to a range of NYU digital resources throughout the summer, including NYU Bobst e-Library, NYU Google Workspace apps, NYU email, LinkedIn Learning, and more!
